About Diane - On a Personal Note

Apocalyptic skilled knitter – Creative bullet journal practitioner
Book lover – Avid world traveler – “Marvel Universe” movie fanatic!

Diane Ramirez is a native Californian from a suburb just south of Los Angeles.  She grew up in a family that from generation to generation, were service driven.  Though none had college degrees, their leadership and service qualities were well proven as her grandparents, parents, aunts & uncles were PTA Presidents, Boy Scout, Girl Scout, and local church community leaders.

“Leadership can absolutely be taught and if you’re lucky, you can also grow up surrounded with examples of good leadership and strong values in your own family!” – Diane Ramirez

During her last year of college, Diane was an exchange student living in Copenhagen, Denmark with her host “Danish Family”, the Dalgaard’s.  This experience had such a positive impact that Diane knew then that she would once again live in Europe …one day.

Through focus, patience and the support of her family, Diane’s aspiration became reality when she again moved to Europe in 2001, this time to Brussels, Belgium through an expatriate assignment with Toyota Motor Europe.  Diane’s love of diverse cultures, history, and European travel lead to her decision to remain in Europe, now residing in Dusseldorf, Germany.  The genuine friendships that Diane has developed throughout the years, and the support that they bring, contribute to her comfort and happiness as she approaches her 21st year in Europe.

Diane continues to love traveling and considers her life genuinely blessed as she’s able to visit her “happy place” of Positano, Italy, frequently and also travels “home” each year as she remains close to her parents, brother, family & friends in California.

The creative “maker” talents of her Nana and Mom continue through Diane’s knitting passion and bullet journaling.  Diane also remains loyal to her home basketball and baseball teams, the Los Angeles Lakers & Los Angeles Dodgers!
